Episode 6 - #StayMadAbby
from Aint No Free Lunch · host Aint No Free Lunch
EPISODE SIX: Danielle & Taikein talk Jesse William's BET Awards acceptance speech, delve into the ramifications of affirmative action, and remind #BeckyWiththeBadGrades (Abigail Fisher) that she's just going to have to stay mad. This episode has a BONUS insert of a podcast written by four of Danielle's 8th graders! The students were charged with writing a research paper on affirmative action and the UT v. Fisher Supreme Court case. The paper was followed with by a podcast assignment, where the students took their research and formulated opinions they wanted to voice. Note to my students: GREAT JOB Britney, Yulissa, Isaiah, and Sharon! I'm SO PROUD of all of you for this. You worked hard and developed opinions independent of me. Many people won't know that you all completed this without ANY input from me, but I know you did. Don't let anyone take your voice from you.
