from The Man Within: Masculine Stories Women Listening · host Oralia Diaz and Tatiana Fontalvo

What if illness isn’t just physical—but also emotional and ancestral? In this episode, we sit down with integrative physician Dr. Richard Massey, whose decades-long journey through medicine led him to a deeper question: What if the body is expressing something the mind hasn’t yet resolved? Dr. Massey began his medical career as a medic in the U.S. Air Force before becoming a board-certified physician and anesthesiologist. But over time, he became increasingly curious about the deeper patterns underlying illness—patterns that traditional medicine often overlooks.
