We’re stuck with it for life, so it’s helpful to listen when our ego is the loudest voice in the room.  I’m no expert, but I know enough to know that my ego has played captain at the center of career struggles, addictive behavior, relationship stress and social disasters.   It's got a ticket to all the positive events in our life too, and all the neutral ones - it’s the center of our conscious reality.  As a new digital creator in the podcast space, I hear my ego running its mouth constantly.   Creating is awesome - when we’re in the flow.  My ego has definitely given that flow a good fight, leading to perfectionism, imposter syndrome, second guessing my work, all that yucky stuff. No better time to have this conversation than now, during the holiday season.    It’s tempting to think that nothing is enough - not the gifts we’ve bought or our accomplishments in the past year, which is why we often choose big flashy new years resolutions that look great on paper but don’t really resonate internally. In this short episode I share my personal experiences and insights about the ego and the importance of keeping it in check - not giving it all the fixes it wants, and how to know when it’s influencing our behaviors and desires through my own stories. I’m talking to everyone - mainly perfectionists, struggling creators and everyone experiencing the holidays.  To reach me: Here are my social media links, including some of my writing on Substack. https://www.instagram.com/healingvoyager/ https://www.facebook.com/rebecca.schlosser.5 Private FB group:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/859832058689723 https://substack.com/@rebeccaschlosser?utm_source=profile-page   Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast by clicking the follow button on Apple, Spotify or Google Podcasts - so you don’t miss any episodes!  If something mystifies you, send me a question on social media.  And if something touches you, please leave a review and recommend the show to someone who needs to hear it!
