Dr. Galizio chats with Los Angeles Community College District Trustee Andra Hoffman about her experience becoming a trustee at the largest community college district in the state and the challenges she faced in leading the board during the pandemic as the only woman on a 7-member board.  She recounts her long journey toward earning an undergraduate degree and explains how community colleges can better support student-parents and provide opportunities for upward social mobility. Trustee Hoffman also discusses what led to the creation of the California Community Colleges Women's Caucus and its impact thus far.
