Uk music has been flourishing over the last couple of years and a name that has been sounding off for all these years has been Chip. With the release of his mixtape snake and ladders which has been widely received as a great project, is it now finally time to give the guy his flowers? Numbers, data and analytics run the world even if we don’t realise it, but companies have been capitalising for a number of years and maximising profits because of it. The tactics of big companies such as Amazon are subject to heavy investment in the R & D area and it is in this area where a competitive edge is maintained. Jeff bezos has announced he will be stepping away from the CEO position and it begs the question of when you know if you should step away or milk a favourable situation for as long as possible. The founder of Bebo seemed to have perfected the craft by selling the company at the height of its fame for 100s of millions before buying it back for a literal million. Is that intuition something people have innately or something that can be acquired through experience? Do deterrents keep the world in balance for the majority or does the size of the deterrents play a factor? Every action has a consequence and perhaps every decision simply comes down to an assessment of risk vs reward.
