Many of us have been to visitations and funerals. Have you ever wondered what type of work goes into these types of services? If so, you're in luck as I interview Chris Nuzum. Chris and I have been friends since middle school. Our paths crossed again in Prescott, WI, then in Kansas and now we're both back in the Madison/Mineral Point area. Chris has worked in mortuary services his entire career beginning in the Air Force. We talk through a day in the life of a Funeral Director including struggles and rewards. Chris just received a 25-year award from the State of Wisconsin in acknowledgement as a member of the Funeral Service Profession in Wisconsin. As a lifelong learner, Chris went back to school part-time as a non-traditional student. Chris is currently studying Jewish Studies with a Human Rights Studies Certificate.
