Born in Calcutta, Rajat credits his uncle in London for first introducing him to great wines. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Rajat entered the Culinary Institute of America at Hyde Park, New York. In 2003, Parr was named Wine Director for the Mina Group, where he develops and manages the wine programs at numerous restaurants. In 2011, Rajat launched Sandhi, which produces Pinot Noir and Chardonnay produced from select vineyards of Santa Rita Hills in partnership with Charles Banks and Sashi Moorman.
