Episode 62: Aeschylus

Nathan Gilmour moderates a discussion with Michial Farmer and David Grubbs about the Greek tragedy Prometheus Bound, traditinally attributed to Aeschylus. Prometheus is a character whose career makes sense in the context of Greek henotheism, becomes unintelligible at the height of Christian literary sensibility, and makes a comeback in some interesting ways as modernity overtakes classical Christianity as the dominant intellectual context in literature.
