In this episode the Alethi party it up! They eat imported chicken, and stab each other in the back. Dalinar gets a vision and a creepy crush. He tries to move the king towards ending the Vengeance Pact against the Parshendi but ends up being outmaneuvered politically by Sadeas. Kaladin begins to realize what he is up against in trying to turn things around amongst the bridge crews, but formulates a plan. In the next episode we will read chapters 23 through 27. Beware: There is a spoiler for A Game of Thrones at the end of this episode (around 1:46). Though, honestly I can’t believe that anyone listening to this doesn’t already who dies at the end of that book. Predictions: * Dalinar is going to die. * There is some metaphysical reason behind Elhokar’s deep suspicion. * There will be a Desolation by the end of this book. * Dalinar “eternal sunshined” his ex-wife. * Sadeas will deliberately ramp up the King’s paranoia. * There is a weird psychic energy tied to the Shattered Plains that behind these pre-death rants. * Renarin will be a stud fighter.
