Episode 63: Bad Computers

from Slums of Film History · host Slate Donaldson

Pretty much every aspect of our daily lives involves a computer and it’s hard in this modern age to imagine our lives without them. We love our computers and can't conceive of parting with them, yet ask anyone if they think that one day the computers are going to become sentient, rise up and kill us all and you’ll get a resounding yes. Why is that? Probably the movies. It seems that ever since these thinking machines starting showing up on the silver screen all they want to do is murder us, enslave us, get us pregnant, or steal our girlfriend. On today’s episode we’re going to find out why, so join us as we boot up some bad computers.
