Episode 63: Caught Out There

from This Thing of Minds Podcast · host G'Baby

Greetings... you're now entering This Thing Of Minds Podcast with your host, the Astonishing Adonis G'Baby, your Internet Cousin, PopItForMilt & your Favorite Brotha, FavG FavDaGawd. Join your favorite Space Kadets as we discuss the new DVSN song, If I Get Caught and the response.  Was that the most toxic song in hip hop? It was toxic but eh.... prolly overhyped. Joe Budden acting mad spicy about Mal being in the video (you can tell he's still hurt). Some break ups are hard to get over but Kevin Hart alluded to our culture with thee break ups. We discussed the black groups that we able to run a business successfully and just leave on good terms. (It's not many).  It seems like every episode there's another rapper that's been killed. RIP JAYDAYOUNGAN.  Beyonce new album, "Renaissance " is out now. It's the BeeHive's time to shine on this one! Beyonce worked with The Dream, Tricky Stewart, Hit Boy, Drake (we see why you dropped that dance album.) and others. But Kelis, yes that Kelis, is upset over Beyonce and Pharrell sampling her song, "Milkshake" on her new song, "Energy". Kelis and her former partners, The Neptunes, have been at odds over the past decade so it isn't surprising that she would be upset. But why Bey gotta catch a stray? Charleston White and Soulja Boy got into an altercation resulting in Big Soulja being maced. (Milt and Fav was happy bout that) We watch the video and discuss our opinions about their beef and we discuss who Charleston White is.  We discussed some of the best hip hop break up songs (I Can't Stand You, R.O.D) and played one of the greatest break up pop songs of our era.  We hope y'all enjoy . SLAPPERS Rick Ross ft Nipsey Hussle "Turnpike Ike J. Stalin "Who Are You" JAYDAYOUNGAN "First Day Out"
