This week is a new thing we're trying called Spankin New Music (ode to MTV of the past, don't sue us) where we premiere new music from artist on the rise, and who better to join us than Eric G from ILLROOTS. We talk a little to Eric about how he got into writing about music and his rise to eventually joining the ILLROOTS team, music he enjoyed as a kid and music he discovered. We also touch on the new music from T.I. ("Dope"), Wale ("My PYT"), Travis Scott's upcoming albums, and Cam'ron & Juelz Santana reuniting like it's 2002.
