In this section Dalinar quits, Jasnah calls, merchants merch, drunks get arrested, and Szeth gets caught up in something much bigger than himself. Predictions: Adolin’s love of women…dirty..evil women….will be his downfall. The Shattered Plains are the place of birth for a new Voidbringer. The Chasmfiends are just the male worker bees for the Voidbringing Queen! The spren are tied to the gems and the types of gems that are local to an area. The Protector….big momma waterspren is looking towards the origin for signs of a big bad coming from the East. The faces are the faces of the radiants Women covering their freehand is related to a time when women were fighters and casters of stormlight. The “safehand” is equivalent to the “freehand.” I suspect it is a symbol of turning their back on surgebinding. Szeth became Truthless for misusing Stormlight. The Shin know how to use Stormlight in a way that differs from the Alethi. * Szeth’s new masters are somehow tied to the letter that begins each chapter in Part Two.
