Episode 64 - Embracing New Seasons with Sanda Flach

from Women Behind the Words · host deb6y

Date: February 21, 2025 Podcast Show Notes: Interview with Sandra Flach   Episode Highlights: Welcome to The Women Behind the Words! In this inspiring episode, I sit down with my dear friend Sandra Flach as she shares the remarkable journey of stepping into a new season. For over a decade, Sandra has poured her heart into Justice for Orphans, an organization she co-founded to raise awareness in churches and provide support to foster and adoptive families. What began as a small ministry has flourished into a life-changing organization serving over 11,000 children and families. Despite the incredible impact of Justice for Orphans, Sandra found herself in a position that, while vital, wasn’t her true calling. As the Executive Director, her responsibilities revolved around management, administration, and daily operations—tasks that pulled her away from her deepest passion: ministering directly to families, writing, and speaking. Throughout this season, Sandra persistently sought the Lord, praying for the right person to step into leadership so she could fully embrace the calling God placed on her heart. Unbeknownst to her, Kathi, her trusted assistant director, had also been hearing from God—sensing a call to step into the very role Sandra had been praying to fill. During a pivotal meeting, Sandra once again expressed her desire for a leader to take over Justice for Orphans. That’s when Kathi revealed what God had placed on her heart. In January of this year, the transition began, and Sandra stepped into a new chapter—fully dedicating herself to writing, speaking, and ministering to foster and adoptive parents through her online community. Sandra’s story is a beautiful reminder of God’s perfect timing and faithfulness. She encourages anyone sensing a shift in their calling to trust the process, knowing that when God opens a door, He also equips us for what’s ahead. Proverbs 3:5-6 (TPT) reminds us: "Trust in the Lord completely and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart, rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make." If you’re feeling called to step into a new season, this episode will encourage and inspire you to trust God, embrace change, and walk confidently in His plan.   About Sandra Flach: Sandra Flach is a mother of eight, including five adopted children, two of whom have been diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS).
