Merck said it asked the FDA to authorize emergency use of its experimental antiviral pill to treat mild to moderate Covid-19 in adults. The Merck pill will be a huge development in the fight to combat the pandemic. The goal of the pill is to help those with mild symptoms of COVID-19. Merck's ($MRK) stock is bearish but this pill could be a big catalyst to move the price forward. A Facebook official told several morning talk shows Sunday that the company would implement new tools to divert users away from harmful content and give parents more control of teens’ Instagram accounts. This comes on the heels of the whistleblower who testified to the Senate about some of the policies being ignored by Facebook to help teens. Facebook ($FB) stock shares were down after the news but could potentially rebound once the privacy issues are mitigated. The battery company ESS went public through a SPAC with Acon S2 Investment Corp. and starts trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday under the ticker symbol ($GWH).
