Then she and her college classmate Sister Mary Scullion were influenced strongly by Jesuit Father Ed Brady, and they also had the chance to meet Mother Teresa during her historic visit to Philadelphia in 1976. Her exceptional work has even been recognized with a medal from Pope Francis.
