This week we talk with Al Carey, who recently served as chief executive officer of PepsiCo North America until he retired from PepsiCo in 2019. Al shares lessons he has learned in his career, and we talk about leading during adversity and how to help your team thrive in challenging times.  Al's career included a multi-decade PepsiCo veteran with experience across snacks and beverages and was responsible for leading North America Beverages, Frito-Lay North America, and Quaker Foods North America. Before this role, he was chief executive officer of North America Beverages, where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of PepsiCo's beverage business across North America. He joined PepsiCo in 1981 after working at The Procter & Gamble Company. Al is the Executive Chairman of Unifi Inc and also serves on the board of directors of The Home Depot, Inc. and boards of University of Maryland and the Bridgeport Rescue Mission.
