Episode 67: A CAREGIVER'S JOURNEY: A MOVING TESTIMONY FROM HILLOAH LEVY

from The Survivor's Guide to Life · host Peter M. Bernstein, Phd

Bernstein Institute staff member Hilloah Levy shares her personal journey to becoming an empathic, loving caregiver. An abusive upbringing left Hilloah resistant to helping care for her dying mother, to her now deep regret. She has since worked through her pain to find a calling and purpose in caring for others. "Carrying a grudge is poison," Hilloah believes. In taking the opportunity to heal, Hilloah had to "embrace the truth and do something about it." "I didn't like myself then," she shares, "and now I do. I wanted to be able to love. Now I can be the person I was meant to be."
