Episode 67 - Advocate For yourself with Jennie

from Crohn's and Autism Awareness Advocate · host Mason Milne

In today's episode I am joined with Jennie, who has had Crohn's since 2018 and she had a Stoma the same year but before she was diagnosed. Jennie talks about her journey so far, and how much having a Stoma and Crohn's has boosted her confidence over the years. As most of us know it's a lifelong adjustment and changes us much, it was hard for Jennie to be open about her Crohn's at first and then she discovered it doesn't matter what other's think of you. Advocating for yourself and being open makes your confidence and journey better than it was originally. Pre diagnosis we can all admit we have went online to look and see what IBD and Crohn's disease is, it makes you feel worse why me ? but as me and Jennie say we wouldn't take anything back we have this illnesses because were warriors and can fight it! I love when people say to me "it's my first time on a podcast" because i know they will love it like Jennie, thank you again Jennie a wonderful conversation and episode.
