That one point from Anahid is powerful. And it's a point that helps drive the mission of the San Diego Hunger Coalition. Started in 1974 by concerned citizens, the San Diego Hunger Coalition serves as behind-the-scenes backbone organization supporting many partners in their collaborative seeking systemic changes to the world of hunger. Whether it is the CalFresh / SNAP program, Hunger Free Kids, Hunger Free San Diego, or its collaborations with the Food Bank, Feeding San Diego, San Ysidro Health, or True Care, the San Diego Hunger Coalition works with trusted, on the ground local partners to alleviate hunger in our community. In a typical year, 300+ organizations come "to the table" to leverage the know how and experience of the San Diego Hunger Coalition. Hear Anahid share what she thinks about the difference between food security and nutritional security, the ins and outs of food subsidies in America, as well as data sharing among its collaborative partners.
