This week on the pod we’re continuing our Twin Peaks coverage as we jump 25 years into the future and watch Twin Peaks - The Return, Episode 8. Where Fire Walk With Me tackles David Lynch in one of his more darker shades covering personal traumas and spilling a bit if the mystery, our episode today finds us in quite the opposite end of the Lynchian spectrum. In the Return, we find ourselves at the hand of a creator who’s making no compromises and holding nothing back. He doesn’t care if you’re following him, but your’e along for the ride whether you like it or not. And “Part 8” of the limited series serves as a sort of nexus of that journey. It’s part origin story of the show, part abstract art, part horror film, but all Lynch in his most unbridled iteration yet. Describing it does no justice, so honestly, go watch this one yourself.
