Episode 7: A formula for love exists? Maybe!

from Neuroscience and the Bible · host Angelica Melo

In this episode, I share the story of my three-year relationship and the deeper healing journey behind it. After decades of toxic patterns—codependency, anxious attachment, and repeatedly attracting emotionally unavailable partners—I began to recognize the inner narrative that made me feel I had to be chosen in order to feel worthy.Through inner child work and deep self-reflection, I started to understand the wounds that shaped those patterns. Then I met someone who didn’t trigger my trauma. At first, that safety felt unfamiliar—even uncomfortable—and I nearly sabotaged the relationship with impossible expectations. But healing had already begun to do its work. This episode is about learning to choose myself, creating space for love without control, and allowing both partners to exist freely and authentically. It’s a conversation about breaking old cycles, evolving through love, and discovering that healthy love doesn’t feel like chaos—it feels like growth.
