Episode 7: Coaching Demo with Lianne Introducing a Paradigm

from Holistic Coach Legacy Podcast · host Holistic Coach Training Institute

In this coaching demo, I introduce a paradigm. Sharing paradigms and principles can support someone in having a perspective shift which can lead to insight and action. Some things you may notice: 1) I used Direct Communication to share what I was hearing around perspective. 2) Even though the audio faded out a few times, I could still hear her and get the gist of what she was saying. Had I not been able to hear her, I would have communicated that to her. Instead I stayed present, listened actively and played in curiosity. 3) I checked in at the end to see what was useful and she shared that the paradigm was really helpful for her. It's great to check in at the end of a coaching call to see what the Coachee brings forward as their take-away. ABOUT LIANNE MACGREGOR My name is Lianne MacGregor. I'm an ICF-certified life coach based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Ottawa, Canada. I began coaching five years ago when I became acutely aware that my life’s journey was leading me in this direction. The focus of my practice is the work of recovering our lives from addiction, loss, discouragement, shame, grief, unresolved trauma and any number of obstacles that prevent us from living the lives we were created to live. As a coach I’m able to draw on my experience as a person in long-term recovery from substance misuse as well as my educational and employment background as a counselor, educator, addiction treatment specialist, and pastoral minister. Coaching allows me to meet with people at a specific moment in their lives and accompany them to a place that’s a true reflection of their own competence, courage, and creativity. It’s a process I’m profoundly honored to be a part of and a way of engaging with people that faithfully reflects my passion for healing, wholeness, and hope.
