Episode #7: Dr. Dodi Tobin ז"ל

from Return Again · host Goel Jasper

Dr. Dodi Tobin was a Jewish educator who taught for the Matan Women's Institute for Torah Studies. She grew up in Skokie, Illinois, and then, following her first five years of marriage to her husband, Marc, they made Aliyah together with three of their four children. Dodi was part of the founding team of Nefesh B’Nefesh, has been teaching Torah for almost 20 years, and, as you will hear, was passionate about teaching others about living life authentically.  Before her tragic death, Dodi lived with Marc and their family in Bet Shemesh, and that’s where I sat with her to Return Again to her Aliyah story. 00:00 - Intro 01:51 - Childhood 06:58 - The Search for an Authentic Life Begins 17:00 - Finding Marc... Rise Up Mentor Derek Kempker Welcome to Rise Up Mentor (formerly, Summits of Life), a platform that advocates for lifelong learning and constant improvement in every aspect of life. As someone who’s experienced both the valleys and peaks of life, I understand that while we cannot control all the obstacles that come our way, we do have the power to choose whether we get back up or not. And each time we choose to rise again, we become stronger. But why settle for just getting back up? By consistently striving to become better and wiser, we can reduce our chances of being knocked down in the first place. That’s why I started Rise Up Mentor – to encourage and motivate you to continuously improve in all areas of life, including vocation, marriage, friendship, personal development, health, parenting, lifestyle, spirituality, intellect, and finance.Although I am a Certified Master Life Coach, I don’t consider myself an expert or master, because I don’t feel there is such a thing as mastering life, but it is possible to TomCattt Thomas Patton From the beginning music has prowled with accordion lessons at a young age, followed by sax, blues harp and more recently piano, vocals, song writing and recording. Thomas Patton (AKA TomCattt) credits his mother for his stage name "TomCattt” as she was big on nick names for those she held close to her heart. TomCattt's music is best described as easy listening and sometimes retro, yet with a contemporary mix and feel. Accompanied by the creative tracks of a number of gifted musicians, his first album Hiiyaaaaaaaaaaa inspires imagination and finds a way to impress with a unique vocal sound, compelling harmony and gripping melody. The lyrical content is in fact a living reflection of this artists emotional journey that followed leaving love, finding a new love only to lose love once again. Hiiyaaaaaaaaaaa was released on June 1st, 2013 and all are invited to Soundcloud, Bandcamp, ReverbNation and Cdbaby where "A Question" is free download and to enjoy TomCattt's website tomcattt.com.
