Episode 7: RaSheeda

RaSheeda lives with diffuse TGCT of the knee and was diagnosed in the late 2000s, a time when treatment options were limited and the condition was often poorly understood. In 2021, she re-experienced symptoms and it was time to revisit this pesky disease. In this episode, she reflects on how the care landscape has evolved over the years, transforming what once felt like a life defined by recurrence and uncertainty into one with expanding possibilities. With access to newer therapies and more specialized care, RaSheeda was able to pursue higher education and reimagine her future. Her story highlights not only the personal impact of medical progress, but also how advances in awareness, research, and treatment can restore agency and long-term planning for people living with rare disease.
