In this episode, we talk about upcoming events for young adults, including two Labor Day weekend events: Catholic Thrive in New York and Nature’s Call in Kansas City. They also briefly discuss Pope Benedict XVI’s new encyclical, “Caritas in Veritate.” In the “Stuff we like” segment, we list a few of our favorite podcasts, Busted Halo, This American Life, On the U and the Daily Breakfast. These are podcasts that we find really fascinating and think that you will, too. Nick decides to quiz Pat on his knowledge of movies in a segment called “Horror Film or Chick Flick?” Did you ever realize that the names of horror films and chick flicks sound very similar? Nick gives some examples along with the movie synopsis and asks Pat to figure out into which genre the movie belongs. Finally, we start a discussion about religion in the workplace. As youth, we were very involved in a youth group and because of that, our willingness to talk about our faith has carried over into our lives today.
