Welcome to another episode of The Better Mental Health for Kids and Parents podcast.  On today's show we discuss the affects of social media on mental health and bring on Dr. Melissa Hunt,  the Associate Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania.  In addition to having an active clinical practice, Dr. Hunt conducts research on the cognitive and affective bases of depression, anxiety disorders and chronic GI disorders.  In a recent study just published in the Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology, Dr. Hunt and her team describe, for the first time, a causal connection between social media usage and the mental health disease depression amongst young adults.  We hope you enjoy, please leave us your comments!
