Episode 7: Stop Comparing Yourself to Others (part 2)

from The Being On Stage Podcast · host Reggie Daughson

There is a dark and dangerous path to take if you continue comparing yourself to others. Jealousy. Jealousy is an ugly monster that will contort the person you are and change you into someone you would never have imagined yourself to be and someone you will look back and be ashamed of. It cannot be stressed enough that you should not focus on the success of others. You must continue to focus on your path and your art in order to truly be successful. Tearing down other artists will only spawn more and more hate and negativity . We need to push ourselves to a positive journey and learn from others as a way to improve ourselves. Talking crap and tearing down will only lead you down a lonely path that lands you behind a desk...not on a stage in front of thousands.

There is a dark and dangerous path to take if you continue comparing yourself to others. Jealousy.
