In this episode, Dr. Weiss sits down with Maya Sharabi, Bornblum’s longest-running Jewish Studies teacher.  What was going to be just a one-year visit to the United States from their home in Israel, Maya and her husband Amir Sharabi— Bornblum’s Technology Director and teacher—ended up staying in Memphis to teach and enroll their two sons at Bornblum. They fell in love with the school and community, and 22 years later, they are figureheads here. Maya talks about her teaching philosophy of seeing every student as unique, how Bornblum prepares students to be Jewish leaders, and why she decided to enroll her two sons here.
