I have been thinking a lot about that often overused phrase – The New Normal and what that could mean for education and schools in particular. The COVID-19 pandemic as well as being a crisis worldwide is also a massive opportunity for education. It’s the opportunity touted for so long by people like Sir Ken Robinson. Education and training have often been said to be the keys to the future – but a key can be turned in two directions. Turn it one way and you lock resources away, even from those they belong to. Turn it the other way and you release resources and give people back to themselves.
