Episode 70: Interview with Shannon Holmes

Welcome to Geared for Growth. This week we're chatting with Shannon Holmes is the founder and director of Quickstay, which specialises in short-stay accommodation management. We have a chat to Shannon about his background and how he first got started in investing because he's got quite a bit of runs on the board and then we take a deep dive into short term rental as an investment strategy. We talk about how that might fit within an investor's portfolio, the types of yields and returns and how to actually set up and manage that type of property. We also talk a little bit about the major hotel booking platforms and of course Airbnb and how he works within the Airbnb system. It's really interesting, sort of left field look at some of the potential for investment properties if they fit the right locations or the right type of property and in the right area, which we talk about as well.
