You know what time it is! TRUE CRIME TIME! In March 2015, 17-year-old Ashlee Martinson fatally shot her mother and stepfather in their home in Piehl, Wisconsin. Martinson claimed she acted in self-defense against her abusive parents, but was charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide. The controversial case sparked debate about parental abuse and children who kill their parents, as Martinson awaited trial in juvenile detention. Her sentencing in August 2016 brought additional dispute over the length of her custody and conditions of supervision upon release years later.
