After a scandal forces their church to temporarily close, Trinitie and Lee-Curtis must reopen their church and rebuild their congregation to make the biggest comeback that commodified religion has ever seen." Cue the drama! Moni and Kat get into the nitty gritty of "Black Church '' and the seemingly pervasive culture of greed, materialism, and homophobia plaguing so-called "mega churches". He died in 2017. *Stranger than Fiction: *Moni shared a story about a "levitating" visiting pastor at her husband's family church. His ascension happened so slowly (while being completely obstructed by the pulpit), that when his head peeked over the top and gradually became visible he looked like he was floating. It didn't help that he made a super weird and loud noise while making his assent think guttural moans while simultaneously slamming his hands down on the altar over and over. So weird! It was all too much and Moni had to retreat to the church basement quickly as not to lose it in the sanctuary in front of the entire congregation. Turns out he just used his walker to stand up and liked to put on a show. Why is she like this!!
