Episode 72: The Starting Gun is Broken

from Sports & Shorts of Sorts · host Rene Raque

Welcome to Episode 72!! Lots of Olympics talk in this one. Breaking down some of the biggest performances, with lots of emphasis on team sports. I've been loving almost everything about these Olympic games in Paris! This episode was recorded nice and early, August 6th. Unfortunately, I didn't get the episode up before work. So, it'll be interesting to see how my predictions play out after the fact. From Olympics, we head to Major League Baseball. The trade deadline has come and gone. And we take a look at the standings to see who is in the best shape to make a run to the World Series. Some quick mentions of the Hall of Fame game in the NFL. And some news from F1, European footy and NHL. I didn't get the jersey mentions in this episode, but I have added it as its own clip. The short brings me back to a time visiting a buddy in Moose Jaw. When the time came to start my car, and that just wasn't happening. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for tuning in! You can also watch the podcast on YouTube!
