Welcome to the Tweet Trends Podcast. Hey, Evette, what's trending today? Hey, I'm Evette, hey girl! And you are tuned in to Tweet Trends.

It's the quickest way to find out what's trending today. Alright guys, I'm literally on the road, in the car, in the rain, on the road. So excuse any background noise that you might hear, okay? But that is not gonna keep me from doing today's show, right?

Because... Today is episode title! That's not what she was supposed to say. She was supposed to say today's episode title is...

Ghosting the Awards. Yep. Let's get started. Ghosting.

Have you ever wondered why some jobs advertise group or mass interviews? Well, it could be a way to counter ghosting. Did you hear those air quotes? Ghosting.

Yes, many businesses report 20 to 50% of job applicants and workers as no shows. And they're saying that the job candidates have more options. And that when businesses take longer to make day one of a work start, then that leads to a higher probability of a person that gets a job, but then dips on them and says yes to somebody else with a different position. So they're also saying that it could be payback from 2007 to 2009.

But that just really seems kind of weird to me. Because they're saying that that was during a time when companies would say they call you one way or the other, and they didn't. And basically, so they could avoid the awkward conversation like you didn't get the job. And now they're saying that that's what the actual workers are doing now.

They don't want to have that awkward conversation to say, yeah, I got a different job or I'm just not coming. So, I don't know, but I really doubt that one. So, just one thing to keep in mind, if you are considering ghosting a job, beware. Because with modern technology, that might be a really, really bad business decision.

Hashtag SB Awards. So it seems like no matter what the award ceremony is, where this Golden Globes, Grammy, SAG Awards, whatever, you name it. So, celebrities are beginning to make statements about more than just what they do. They are talking about things that really matter.

But the sad thing is there are a lot of people in society that have issues with that. But, but, but, it seems like last night on the SBs, people did not have a problem with the fact that they made some statements last night. Do you hear me? Now, it could be that this one particular one, where the 141 young ladies that were abused by L.N., and yes, I'm just saying L.N., I'm not saying his name because he does not get any airtime on my show.

But the sexual abuse victims, they all came together and united on the stage. And it was a very powerful scene. Sarah Klein and Allie Raisman, they both spoke and it was beautiful. And I thought it was awesome because they gave a true visual to what really took place.

Because showing 141 women across a stage is huge. And the sad thing though is there's way more than 141 of them. For Michigan State alone, there are 300 women that are receiving settlements from the school in regards to the same man and his misdillings. So, that's even, misdillings isn't even a good word for that.

There's just wrong. But anyway, so I just thought it was really awesome. And one of the things that kind of stuck with me is that basically when women stick together, amazing stuff happens. And I believe that is what we saw on the SPs last night.

Hashtag the view. So I don't know if you like talk TV, but I happen to love it because it brings people together with different views and they can all get together and have those tough conversations. So, yeah, it was kind of a thing, I said, the view, because that's what I'm talking about right now, of the view. And they had Judge Janine Piero on there.

And she was promoting her new book and saying, oh, how she knows the president and has known for over 30 years and has been in law just as long, you know, over 30 years and blah, blah, blah, blah, won't walk. So, they were asking her questions. And because she put that information out there, to me, fair game, right? And so they asked them questions and one question in particular, Sunny brought up.

And it was kind of like this whole lawyer to lawyer thing where Judge Piero did this whole legal limbo thing, where she danced all around the answer and never actually said yes or no. And you could tell that Sunny wasn't feeling it the way she was kind of giving her the side eye while she was giving her explanation. But then it got to a point where Judge Piero was talking to Megan and then out of the blue, she just kind of like flips the script and turns on Whoopi. Well, now this whole time, Whoopi's been a moderator and she actually had to shut everybody down and be like, look, we can't all talk at the same time.

And then she basically accused Whoopi of having Trump derangement syndrome. Now, you talked about all your years in law. At no point did you say you had any experience in medicine. So guess what, Boo Boo, you need to stay in your lane.

But the sad thing though is, Whoopi hadn't even said anything yet. So I thought that was really crazy. And so I don't blame Whoopi for going off on her. It got to the point where Whoopi just shut the whole thing down and was like, this is it, this is over.

And it's a little sad because you want people to come together and have those tough discussions and try to see where the other one is coming from. And kind of like what Whoopi said, she's like, I don't dislike any person. I dislike the stuff that happens. And I don't like the fact that we can't find a solution.

And that's what it's all about. Talk TV and all these different things where people come together and have these conversations. The goal should be finding a solution. And clearly, when you get down to name calling and diagnosing people with stuff that you are not, that's not your pay grade, you can't diagnose.

And that's when things go kind of bad and keeping it real goes real wrong. Alright guys, well, thanks for joining me on another episode of Tweak Trends. Do me a favor, head on over to Twitter and follow my hashtag Tweak Trends or better yet. Just follow me at HeyVet.
