Episode 73: It's About Time! With Dr. David Tarvin

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin  I've titled this episode "It's About Time" because it is about time that I aired it!  My own mistake.  David and I had a great conversation at the conference last year and then I lost the interview.  Well, actually, I misplaced it.  Then....the other day...I found it!  YAHTZEE!! David and I discussed a lot of interesting humor related topics but what was most interesting is how he uses humor to engage his students and help them learn.  Fascinating conversation with a very smart guy! I have been dubbed both the ‘humor guy’ and the ‘intercultural dude’ by our course coordinator, and I am proud to embody that persona. My goal as an educator is to make learning a fun and worthwhile experience.
