Episode 73 : Making Games for Women - Ariella Lehrer

A well-known industry veteran, Ariella has dedicated the past 30 years to creating and selling games that expand the market, along the way achieving numerous “firsts.” While CEO of Legacy Games, Emergency Room, one of the first medical simulations ever created, was very successful. Subsequently, Lehrer established the TV drama genre in video games, with four Law & Order adventure games. A leading expert on IP licensing, Lehrer quickly followed up this success to create more than 25 licensed puzzle games, including ER, Criminal Minds, Murder She Wrote, Ghost Whisperer, Sherlock Holmes, Twilight Zone, Tarzan, Psych, Crayola, among others. From 2017-2020, Lehrer served as President at HitPoint Studios. While there she helped develop unique Augmented Reality apps for Disney, Niantic, and Ellen DeGeneres, among others, that pioneered new ways to learn and play. Now back at the helm of Legacy Games, currently the largest distributor of casual games at retail, Lehrer is busy expanding its digital sales channels.
