In 2014, the truth comes out that Anna and Robert secretly imprisoned Faison in the caverns beneath Wyndemere instead of turning him over to the authorities. When Anna leads everyone to the chamber to prove it, the pit is empty. He had been free long enough to walk around Port Charles wearing Luke Spencer's face. He is eventually arrested, escapes custody, and disappears again. In 2018, Faison's memory mapping operation finally unravels, Drew learns he has been living Jason's life by design, and Nathan West discovers that Faison is his father. When Lulu convinces Nathan to go public with that connection to draw Faison out, it works. Faison shows up, confronts Maxie, and shoots Nathan when he tries to protect her. Jason shoots Faison. Nathan does not survive. Faison dies days later, and the fallout keeps coming, including a Huntington's diagnosis, a secret daughter Anna gave up in Brussels, and a will designed to pit Jason and Drew against each other even after his death.
