And as you write things down and reflect back, things become easier to let go." "When the forgiveness factor is there fully, the victim becomes the victor. They become the victor of their own story." "Supporters are the network that allows people to escape from domestic violence to happen." "We are all flawed." "If things are repeating. This is starting to form a pattern. We need to be asking the questions and say, Hey, these things didn't use to happen. And now they're happening? How can I help you? Do you need help? What's going on?" "It is important to have truth-tellers in our lives, not only for the one who is being abused but also for the one who's doing the abuse. If you're the one that's doing the abuse and if you have the right truth-tellers in your life, then there is a likelihood of you getting past that or working through that. So that's no longer a part of your life." "Truth tellers are the change agents." "The inherent behavior of a man is to help others. And unfortunately, it's been dismissed in our society." "Be really careful about who you choose to have as a truth-teller in your life. Because it is not what they say it is how they say it. Find truth-tellers that will tell you the truth with love." "A bad truth-teller is the one who doesn't love you. She/he's not helping you or serving you."
