The words "modern musician" are thrown around fairly often these days but Dr. Martin McCain is an absolutely perfect example. From his work as Professor of Trombone at Texas State University to touring as half of the McCain Duo to playing as a substitute with countless orchestras around the world, Dr. McCain is a part of just about every part of the music business.

In this episode we unpack how Dr. McCain has developed his career in such a diverse way, love of fashion and how it crosses over into music, as well as his thoughts on the current social justice movement in America. In particular, what we can do in the music business and he uses the examples of the Austin Chamber Music Center and the Gateways Music Festival.
