Episode 74: Our Physiology as Women: Why Learning About Hormones, Gut Health + Mental Health Matter!

from Empowered in Health · host Erin Trier

On today's episode of The Momlife Mindset Podcast, I take a moment to recap mental health awareness month and dive briefly into my gut health/inside out health journey over the past 2+ years. Long story short - I reached a point where everything I was doing was no longer working. No matter what lifestyle choices I implemented - I didn't feel better. No matter what I ate, what I eliminated, what I focused on - I always felt sick after meals. I have been STUCK in every sense of the word - physically, emotionally, mentally. Finally, I reached a point where I knew I needed more help. More education. More data. More information on my body and how to truly feel good again. I've been on my gut health journey for a little over a year - most recently working through the Gut Fix with Gut Personal. It has been a TREMENDOUS program where I've made a lot of great progress. I still have my protocol to finish, but I can't recommend GP enough and truly feel like I'm FINALLY on a trajectory of forward progress again on my health journey. I'm an affiliate for GP and if you want to try their products, programs or take their free gut health quiz...feel free to do so by using my code (EKT10) and this link: https://www.gutpersonal.com/pages/gutpersonal-partner The next step for me is diving deeper into hormone health, women's health education and getting certified as a SYNC certified coach. I'm learning so much about women's physiology, targeting our effort intentionally (with fitness and nutrition) to link up with what our unique body does every month and WHY paying attention to our hormone health matters for our overall wellness. I can't say it enough - health is intertwined. Our gut health, our mental health, our hormone health - it all plays a role in how we feel. And learning to talk more, share more and get educated so we can advocate for our health needs is imperative to all of us as mamas and women. As mentioned - to stay looped in on all the information I'll be sharing about my certification, group opportunities and the chance to dive deeper to learn how to advocate for your own health - Subscribe Here: https://view.flodesk.com/pages/646edaa9644615ff2d1adc34 I'd love to hear from you and connect further on our stories.
