Episode 75: It's U19 World Cup Time ft Josie Groves

from Noughtie Child Podcast · host Richard & Polly

We are back after a short break...well sort of. We tried to have a break but as usual found other ways to keep in the women's cricket loop. It was an exciting time as England U19 flew out to South Africa and have played two warm up games about the West Indies and Indonesia. This week we preview the U19 World Cup, chat about selection for the T20 World Cup next month and discuss the Women's IPL...or lack of IPL in the title! It was a special week as Polly had her first byline which was in the Cricketer, her article all about the England U19 Women's team being published. You can read the article here: https://www.thecricketer.com/Topics/under-19-womens-t20-world-cup-2023/hundred_winners_regional_stars_england_youngsters_women_under_19_world_cup.html    This week we chat to U19 leg-spinner, Josie Groves who plays for the newly named 'The Blaze'. It was great to catch up with Josie and hear about her career so far, not only in cricket but also in netball. We will be back next week with England U19s bowler, Ryana MacDonald-Gay but in the meantime, our Instagram, TikTok & YouTube is “Noughtie Child Podcast” and our Twitter is “00ChildPodcast” so feel free to give those a follow to stay up to date!
