Episode 77: Devin Forest-Hines (Easy to Hear, Hard to Play)

Welcome to Get Up in the Cool: Old Time Music with Cameron DeWhitt and Friends! This week’s friend is Devin Forest-Hines, with special guest friend Amelia Baker on guitar. We recorded this in Portland before the Old Time Gathering, about a month and a half ago. Devin chose some really neat tunes for our jam, and I’m pretty sure I’ll keep some of them, especially his version of Shady Grove, which we play towards the end. That’s not clickbait-style rhetoric, I actually liked that tune the best out of all the tunes we played, it just happens to be second to last.
