Episode 77: The Car Podcast?

from Tired: The Car Podcast For People Who Understand That Cars Are Bad

After our focused recap of the 6 Hours Of The Glen (bonus content coming soon; Peter's on family vacay) we put in about 3 more hours of recording, and here's an idea: have you wondered what our Patreon episodes sound like? Are you new to the pod? Do you want to give a friend some idea of what your hosts are like? Awesome. How's an hour and 20 of goofing off sound to you? Your producer pal Matty pulled the funniest bits from a couple longer runs and stuck them together for everybody to enjoy. We do talk cars: Rodney Sandstorm at the Craftsman Truck Series, long haul driving joys and perils, how to get a Ferrari sticker in the early 90's, Tesla's latest boondoggle, and a little preview of our eventual ep about that new F1 movie. But also, you'll hear how everyone would approach trying to land a plane (or in Matty's case, solving the essential problem much faster), trivia about a cool vulture, a song from when anti-natalism was just a funny idea for edgy teens, airplane disaster movies, a 90's indie rock tour story, a truly classico-style Let's Introduce The Pod, cat infrastructure mishaps, and how the B-2 sucks. Also brief mentions of the Israeli Occupation Force's bombing of Iran. In case we haven't mentioned lately: Free Palestine. As ever, our Peter Article Reading Music is "sarin gas" by Frugivore: https://frugivore.bandcamp.com/track/sarin-gas Our Wikipedia reading music is once again ol' reliable "Bossa Antigua" by Kevin MacLeod: Bossa Antigua Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
