On a historic day where it was announced that NBC Universal bought the television rights to WWE Smackdown, moving it back to the USA Network in 2024, the WWE also did a number of talent releases throughout the day on Thursday. Names like Mustafa Ali, Aaliyah, Emma, Rick Boogs, Top Dolla, Dolph Ziggler, Elias, Riddick Moss and Shelton Benjamin have been released from the WWE with more reportedly coming.
