Episode 78 Guest Jen Dryer on Raising Neurodivergent Teens

from The Masterful Parenting Podcast - Heal Your Childhood and Parent Better Through Relational Parenting · host Anne Alvares - Parent Coach for the Masterful Parenting Program

Jen Dryer, MA, is a parenting coach and educational consultant who supports families and teachers of neurodivergent children and teens. Jen has more than 25 years of experience working with children, families, and teachers in both NYC and DC as a public school teacher, school staff developer, and parent coach. Her younger son is autistic and has ADHD and OCD, and her older son has ADHD. In 2020, Jen co-founded Raising Orchid Kids, which provides online classes, workshops, support groups and 1-1 coaching for parents of neurodivergent kids and teens. Jen strives to help parents feel seen, heard, and understood in the challenges they face raising their neuro-different kids, while providing parents with the space to connect with others who are navigating similar paths.  A graduate of Brown University (BA) and Columbia University’s Teachers College (MA), Jen is a native New Yorker who grew up in the northern suburbs and spent 13 years living in NYC before moving to DC in January, 2009. She has also been a yoga instructor since 2006, which has given her tremendous tools for facing the challenges of raising an “Orchid” child (and for navigating parenting in general!).
