Episode 78: Making New Friends Again with Beverly and Alyssa Samuel

On this episode of Streamin' With a Purpose, meet Beverly Samuel. Beverly Samuel and Alyssa Samuel are a mother and daughter duo who introduced us to the children's book, Make New Friends. On today's episode, we are introduced to the latest book in the series. Beverly and Alyssa are passionate about children's literacy, serving the community, and diversity and inclusion.Beverly retired from the United States Department of Agriculture as a National Program Leader. She developed an interest in diversity and cultural appreciation on a federal task force. She has volunteered most of her life working with children in various capacities. She enjoys dedicating her time to the Make New Friends book series and developing the curriculum.Alyssa works in management consulting for a federal government contractor. She enjoys learning about different cultures, writing short stories, and poetry. Make New Friends was inspired by their family’s life experiences in school, work, and the community.
