This is a focus on the early years of the band with Syd Barrett, who was the principal songwriter for the band. He was a very unique writer and he helped to transition the band from being a standard R&B group to a mesmerizing Day-Glow Psychedelic band. The show will feature music from the band's first singles and tracks from their sole complete album with Syd, "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn". Some of his solo work is also featured in this episode.
