In these few short verses, Peter covers 6 big topics that address how we represent Jesus to the world, if we represent Jesus to the world, and what people see of Jesus when they look at our lives. These verses show us a picture of God’s heart. That even in His judgement, His love remains. How do these verses reshape our image of God?Vs 21 - Peter uses the previous verses to explain baptism. What is the power of you and I seeing ourselves “dead” to sin, but “alive” to Christ?Vs 22 - Peter reminds us of the final score. Jesus faced many challenges in His earthly life.
