He recovered from surgery but continues to struggle with balance, leaving him confined to a wheelchair. His wife Chelsie sought the talents of a fellow school teacher Matt Zigler (pictured below), who worked with students to create “WheeStroll” – an adaptive vehicle that combines a stroller and wheelchair giving Jeremy the independence that allows him to take his five-month-old son for a walk.
